The Bish A – Z of Porn. F is for facial, fantasy (oooh), female friendly, fetish, fingering and funny.
Facial
This is where a guy (usually) ejaculates over their partner’s face. This is very common in porn. In real life some people like this but not everyone, so it’s important to ask first. Some people can find it extremely unpleasant and it can be painful if it hits someone’s eye as semen can be slightly alkaline (between 7.2 and 8) and it also travels pretty quickly.

Fantasy
Fantasy is a very very broad topic in porn (and some people would argue that all porn is fantasy). As with other fantasy it could feature sex with dragons (technically illegal), sex with people balanced on a flying unicorn, a goblin with a dildo, a couple from the future having really hot sex on Venus, Isaac Newton having sex with Florence Nightingale and Will Smith – anything.
However I just had a quick look and the most popular fantasy porn clips involved French maids, cab drivers, masseurs, a horny Santa Claus, a stern but then really quite nice Police officer, lots of doctors and nurses (yawn)… oh and an ancient Egyptian pharaoh having sex in his tomb. (Edit – since I first wrote this there is so much ‘step’ porn that I really should write about it. June 2025)
Female friendly
A lot of people think that it’s only guys that are into porn and that porn is only made for women. It’s not true. Lots of women watch porn and make porn. There are female porn producers and directors such as Anna Span, Erika Lust and Tristan Taormino who are making stuff for women and for couples.
Of course just as porn aimed at guys isn’t going to be a turn on for every guy not all porn ‘for women’ is going to do it for every woman. However porn made for women might feature: seeing a guy’s face as well as the woman’s, perhaps more tender sex, not so much looking at the camera but looking at each other and perhaps more realistic scene setting.
Also just as some guys get off on watching two women having sex, some women like to watch men having sex – which usually has it’s own ‘gay’ category.

Fetish
Again ‘fetish’ is a very broad topic but it is interesting. It’s to do with what people think is ‘normal’ sex and what isn’t ‘normal’. Of course the word ‘normal’ is really subjective – what’s normal for one person is really kinky and fetishy for another. Same goes for fetish, what someone thinks is a fetish someone else could think is normal.
So I guess fetish is what some people might consider ‘not normal’, or what other people might consider ‘interesting’ or ‘sexy’. It can include BDSM (which I covered in A-Z of Porn ‘B’) which where people consent to exchange power (and are made to do something by someone) to restrain, or humiliate or hurt someone.
However fetish might also include particular clothing or an aspect of someone’s body. So people who are really into foot sex might be interested in this category, or people who like tights, or wearing latex, or nappies.
You might think that fetishes (or some fetishes) are weird but remember that this is all subjective. We’re all the same, we’re all different. For this reason I really like this phrase ‘Your Kink Is Not My Kink But Your Kink Is OK (YKINMKBYKIOK)’ There’s no evidence that people into BDSM are mentally ill – perhaps the opposite in fact.
As anthropologist and queer theory pioneer Gayle Rubin says in her paper ‘Thinking Sex’
“Most people find it difficult to grasp that whatever they like to do sexually will be thoroughly
repulsive to someone else, and that whatever repels them sexually will be the most treasured delight
of someone, somewhere.,”
Rubin, G. (1984) Thinking Sex: Notes for a Radical Theory of the Politics of Sexuality. In: Vance, C., Ed., Pleasure and Danger, Routledge & Kegan, Paul, London, 267-319.
Fingering
This shows people using their fingers to masturbate their clitoris, vagina, labia or anus (it’s a category in ‘gay’ and ‘straight’ porn). That this exists (and is really popular) in porn is not really talked about very much. Porn shows a much greater diversity of different types of sex than a lot of people give it credit for. When was the last time you saw masturbation shown (positively) in a film or a TV programme? Yet it is an incredibly safe and pleasurable form of sex.
So in porn it also shows some of the different ways that people like to touch themselves and how their sexual body parts respond. Some people may learn more about their bodies as a result but of course you can always learn about masturbation here at BISH!
Funny
There are different types of ‘funny’ in porn. There are amusing outtakes (hilarious clips of people falling off white leather sofas), there are parody porn versions of films and TV programmes (famously there’s one of Edward Scissorhands and a Seinfeld one – neither of which I’ve seen … yet) and there are cartoons (which are meant to be funny).
However there is also porn where the viewer is invited to laugh at the people in the porn rather than with – because they look different. This is unfair, a massive turn off and not funny in my opinion. It’s a bit like with the fetish thing earlier – we have this urge to laugh and point at other people to make us feel better about our own insecurities. I hate that.

What do you think about BISH?
I’d love your feedback about the website please! I’m doing a PhD research project at Nottingham Trent University about BISH and it’s really important for me to get your thoughts about it. There’s a short survey here. It will just take around 10 minutes. It would really help me to help you, so it would be great if you could take part.
[Practitioners, although this website isn’t aimed at you, I’m keen to hear your thoughts about BISH too as you may have made use of it in your work. If you do work in or around relationships and sexuality education could you do this survey instead please. Thank you!]

Here’s How To Stay Updated With BISH
Most of my readers like to stay updated via email. So sign up here and get an automatic email every time I post a new resource on here.
And you can also keep up with me via social medias. I’m not an influencer, I put all my time into this website and also I think people trust sites like this more than social media. So I’m not very active on there but I try to post when I’ve done a new thing. TikTok. Instagram. Twitter (I’ve kind of stopped posting there now). YouTube. You could also follow me on Reddit if you like (just starting out, so tell me which sub-reddits you’d like to see me post in).

what about fuck
I don’t think fuck is a category on porn tube sites. There’s more info on fucking here.
