You’ve told me you love a quiz, so here’s a rude word quiz!
Look, back in the day (I am old) for fun we would get a dictionary and look up the rude words*. This quiz is a tribute to this fine tradition. Each question asks you ‘what is the rude word for ….’ or ‘what is the normal word for ….’. So, for example, what is the rude word for ‘fellatio’, or for ‘coitus’, that kind of thing.
Here is the quiz
((Opens in a new tab). After you click ‘submit’ it will tell you which answers you got right and wrong. There are also some links there for you to find out more information. Let me know in the comments below if you have any questions.
What’s the learning though Justin?
This is just a very silly quiz, so just enjoy it. The interesting learning point from this is that there are different kinds of words for sex things. Some of them are very old fashioned and it goes to show how prudish we used to be about sex. You don’t need to learn what these words are, because when you talk about sex you can just use the plain language or ‘rude words’ that are more commonly used. For example, a doctor will be fine with you saying ‘fucking’ or ‘wanking’. It’s all about the context and how you say these words. Just say the word as plainly and as simply as you can and you’ll be fine.
If you like quizzes, here are the other ones. Let me know in the comments if you have other ideas for quizzes you’d like.
If you want to skip the quiz, you could just read this ‘What is Sex’ guide. This explains some of the different kinds of sex and how you can do them safely, consensually, and pleasurably. You might also like this old comedy clip from A Bit of Fry and Laurie, about a game show called Don’t Be Dirty!
*We would also spell out BOOBIES on our calculators. (Put 5318008 in an old school calculator and turn it upside down).
